Teona Jakeli's Personal Art Gallery

| Teona Jakeli The festival and competition of young artists of Soviet Union was organized in 1983. Teona Jakeli was ten years old then. She was the youngest participant to take the first place with the painting ‘Fantasy~. Success of this little artist was broadly viewed by press. Teona’s works were included in a specially published booklet. The same year she organized her first personal exhibition at Virseladze Art School. In 1992 she participated in young Georgian artist’s exhibition in the Czech Republic (Czechoslovakia). This event was followed by great success. `Komsomolskaja Pravda~ and `Ahalgazrda Iverieli~ were the newspapers of those times which broadly viewed this exhibition. In 1995 the Art club `Vinsent~ was officially opened presenting Teona’s paintings. Since then displaying the paintings of young artists has become a tradition. Professional newspapers and journals have published articles viewing this event. The Tbilisi State University hosted the group exhibition in 1996 with contributions of Teona’s paintings. Finally the catalogue was published. In 1997 the Gallery `Hobby~ welcomed the exhibition of four famous artists including Teona and it was followed by a great success- special TV programs were showed and newspaper `Ahalgazrda Iverieli~ published quite a long article.
In 2002 Teona Jakeli organized her personal exhibition in `Karavan-Saray~ - one of the famous exhibition halls. As in previous years modern famous newspapers `Alia~, ` Chveni Era~, ` Dvrita~ were full of articles on this cultural event.
