Goals and activities
"Tsodna" promotes to raise the scientific and political level of the
population through lecturing on political-social problems, provides with
necessary literature dealing with culture and education arranges thematic
seminars, trainings, scientific and theoretical conferences, symposiums, holds
disputes on various subjects;
"Tsodna" also publishes scientific-methodical literature, leaflets, bulletins.
"Society Tsodna" has a great number of high
and secondary professional educational institutions in Tbilisi, as well as
in regions. Their aim is to keep the young people in their own places
(besides the professional education).
The functioning of "Tsodna" is based on contract with
the enterprises of the town and region, private persons. The duration of the
contract depends on the volume of the work or form of the service.
The responsible secretaries of the town and the regional
organizations of 'Tsodna", work taking into account the interests and wishes of
the partners and have a concrete program.
Connections
Since 1991 "Tsodna" has been the member of
International association. The connections with other countries give the
opportunity to publish several works by Georgian authors abroad- in the
USA.
Structure
Since 1947 " Tsodna" has been the
juridical person, having its own symbol.
In 1999, February, 2. The "Society was reregistered
(according to low) by the Mtatsminda district court of Tbilisi.
The number of

It possesses private properties and functions on self-financial
principles.
The highest body of "Tsodna" is the presidium, which chooses the board.
the chairmen of "Tsodna" used to be the country's famous academicians N.Muskhelishvili, A. Bochorishvili, A. Dzotsenidze, A.Tavkhelidze, N. komakhidze.

Staff
Scientific-methodical council includes: the famous
scientists of our country, leading specialists of different branches. There are
127 collaborators in "Society Tsodna" traditionally promoted and is still
promoting publishing job. It publishes not only Popular-scientific, scientific,
artistic publishing and scientific methodical literature.

"Society Tsodna" has a three storied building in Kostava str.

(a big one with 500 seats, and a small one
with 220 seats. The halls are provided with receptacles.
